Thursday, 3/8/07, 11:37 AM Steve is still at
university of Louisville. It has been a constant roller coaster ride. His injuries include multiple facial and skull fractures.
He had to have a craniotomy to remove a blood clot from his brain. He had a rod placed in his right leg and screws placed
in his right ankle. He now has a tear in the lining of his brain, which has caused a huge leak of spinal fluid from his nose.
They placed a drain in his back to shunt the spinal fluid. The tear has not healed yet, but we are certainly praying. Overall
God has blessed us one more time. It has now been three days since he has had the leak. I do not know how many more days the
drain will have to be in or how many more days or weeks he will have to be here. He is confined to bed and that is probably
the hardest part for him. I am thankful to God that he is doing as well as he is when I see some of the other patient here
and their families I know that we have been blessed. Thanks to each one of you for your thoughts and prayers. He is hoping
to be back riding in a couple of months and I hope he is able to. If anybody would like to give him a call, he has his cell
phone by his bed and would love to here from you. 270-339-5355 thanks again for your prayers, calls and thoughts Rachel- jackhammer's
